red kryptonite
Red Kryptonite was introduced in episode 2.04 "Red" when Smallville High started selling class rings with "rubies" in them. However, when Clark put on his ring he began acting strangely. Rebelling and acting out in a very unClark-like way.Chloe's investigating turned up that the stones in their class rings were really made from red meteor rock. She shared this discovery with Pete, who immediately went straight to the Kents to tell them about it. They discovered that the Red Kryptonite was what was causing Clark's unusual behaviour, and the ring was destroyed.
This wasn't the last we saw of Red K, though. It turned up in episode 2.14 "Rush"; when Chloe and Pete used it to make Clark more "fun", episode 2.23 "Exodus"; when Clark put on another school ring and ran away to Metropolis, and in episode 4.11 "Unsafe"; when Alicia uses it on Clark to make him run away with her and get married.
It returned once again in episode 6.13 "Crimson" when a Lois, wearing lipstick made from Red Kryptonite, kisses Clark. It makes Clark reveal his secret to Lois in order to impress her, and makes Lois fall in love with Clark and get their names tatooed inside a heart on her left breast. They also decide to crash Lex and Lana's wedding dinner, where Chloe cures them and Lois forgets everything that happened.
